What's Trending: Blazers, Leather & Denim
Can you imagine how people during the 80's watched movies about time travelling like 'Back To The Future' thought about the far future? Well, I surely wasn't born during that time but for sure, whatever they thought was false. Especially the fashion part. In movies, they always depict people wearing over the top head piece with guns shooting blazers and of course, hover boards. We do have hover boards but it can't really hover. Now that we are in the 21st century, whatever our 80's people thought was entirely different what the movie shows because mainly, sci-fi movies are fictional.
As I scrolled down Instagram, I can't helped but to noticed the similarities on every pictures. The frame glasses, oversized checkered blazers, high-waisted mum denim jeans, and of course, that belt bags. The latest trend was the bicycle tight pants that my dad used to wear when he was a cyclist champion. Come to think of it, all these styles looked like it came out from some 'The Breakfast Club'. Hey, I liked the movie but I'm also not judging them. I actually liked them.
I respect if there's some people who doesn't liked the 'vintage' style but fashion is all about trials and error. You will never know if it suits you.
For today's post, let's dive deep into the outer wears below.
Vintage calls for checkered, over-sized blazers. I know there are lots of characters in movies especially 80s to 90s (if I'm not mistaken) wears oversized blazers with shoulder pads. To some, it may look a bit too much but as someone who likes to wear outwears at a hot weather in Malaysia, I like it. It's a combination between casual and formal, which is a great way to those who hate wearing formal to their office. And your boss can't nag you out for not wearing 'formally', all thanks to your blazer.
Whether it be real leather or just good PU quality of a 'leather' jacket, the cutting always matters. I have tried on myself, wearing a leather jacket and sad to say, I can't carry the style. I felt like I tried so hard to in the 'Grease' movie cast members only to failed very miserably. Anyho, cropped leather jacket is what keeps you both warm and cool for this spring/summer.
That's it for today's post. I'm terribly, utterly sorry for the lack of updates on my post lately. I don't want to dive deep into why I haven;t been updating but, for sure next post will be about Accessories & Shoes. I felt that if I do include another few points of these two, it'll make the post too draggy, you know what I mean? I hope you guys enjoy today's post.

Ah, the good ol' denim jacket. Remember time where denim jacket was famously worn by all 'Tumblr' people? Paring up with a pair of Adidas Superstar and ripped black denim pants and black top? Yes, it was that was the time and I have to admit to it that was I too, I was digging the style. However, denim jacket for this year's summer/spring make its comeback together with your favourite pair of denim pants. Especially if it's a crop type.

My OOTD:

It would be a shame if I posted all of this outfits inspiration yet I don't have my own OOTD, right? Here, I wore Uniqlo's SPRZNY (M) over my thrifted over-sized blazer that my sister gave me (thank you!) with H&M's high-waisted jeans (that's super stretchy (not to mention that it fits my waist properly!); pairing it with a pop of red mules (idk why it looks orange but it's red).
